Voluntary Departure
This is the most common form of relief from removal. Voluntary Departure allows the alien to depart the United States without the stigma of a formal removal by allowing the alien to leave on their own personal expense by a certain time specified by the immigration judge. If this relief is requested prior to the end of removal proceedings, the alien can get up to 120 days of additional time to prepare for their departure.
