Contact information for individuals authorized to sign letters requesting a waiver may be found on the DOS website.
Some agencies able to request a waiver include:
- HHS Waivers The United States Health and Human Services and Human Services is a government agency that protects the health of Americans, and provides essential human services. The agency is able to make visa waiver recommendations to the DOS.
- Veterans Administration
- Appalachian Regional Commission A government agency authorized to make visa waiver recommendations covering 13 states: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia.
- Delta Regional Authority A government agency covering 8 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee. The agency is authorized to make visa waiver recommendations to the DOS.
