Patience Pays OffPublished: Thursday, September 11, 2014
Our client, an X-ray crystallographer, came to us with a citation record that showed promise, but not yet impact in the field. We talked with his Principal Investigator, who explained our client was about to be promoted and had a few more publications in the pipeline. No immigration deadline was imminent, so we chose to wait for the picture to develop. And develop it did! During the wait time, our client’s existing papers accrued many more citations, and his new publications showed he was steadily moving up in authorship position. Finally, he received his promotion and we were able to use the recommendation letters from external referees to very good effect. By the time we filed, there was no doubt about the positive outcome.
