H-1B Lottery Registration Opening March 7

Employers with no USCIS online account may create an organizational account at any time; FAQs on organizational accounts will be updated with FY 2026 information prior to March 4.  Where applicable, USCIS will convert employer online accounts to organizational accounts.

A beneficiary’s identifier must be unexpired at the time of registration.  Should it expire prior to the petition filing, that documentation may be updated when the H-1B petition is filed.

Once registrations have closed, USCIS will randomly select enough unique beneficiaries to fill the available slots.  Every employer who submitted a registration of  a selected beneficiary will then be notified through  their USCIS  account.  In the unlikely event that there are fewer registrations than the number of visas available, all properly submitted registrations will be selected.   USCIS expects to send notifications by March 31.

USCIS’ press release on the FY 2026 H-1B lottery, with links to relevant information, is here.
